🌧️ The Rainy Day Dilemma
It was a dark and stormy morning at Roger Williams University. The sky growled with thunder, and rain poured down like someone had turned on a giant shower in the sky! Students peeked out from their dorm windows, hoping the storm would stop before class started. But the puddles grew deeper, and the wind blew umbrellas inside out. There was no way to get to class without getting completely soaked.
Some students thought about skipping class. “It’s just one day,” said Max, pulling his blanket over his head. But Emma wasn’t so sure. “We have a big science test today,” she reminded him. She grabbed her raincoat, zipped it up tight, and wrapped her books in a plastic bag. “I’ll walk fast and dry off when I get there,” she said. A few others saw her determination and decided to follow her lead.
When they arrived at class, wet but proud, the professor smiled. “I know today was tough,” she said, “but showing up shows responsibility.” Max felt a little guilty for staying behind. The storm had made things hard, but Emma had reminded everyone that doing the right thing—even when it’s uncomfortable—is what makes you stronger. Next time, Max promised himself he’d be brave too.
